Video Transcription

Video Summary

The webinar introduced AGD’s 2025 “10 Dentists to Watch” and featured a relaxed panel discussion with several young dentists sharing their career paths, practice ownership experiences, and involvement with the AGD. Topics included how the program works, why they joined AGD, and how AGD’s CE, PACE approval, and professional network support growth in dentistry.

A major theme was continuing education: how to choose quality courses, budget for them, and use AGD’s vetted resources and transcript tracking. The panel also discussed the value of fellowship (FAGD), documenting CE carefully, and using CE to build confidence and clinical skills.

Much of the conversation focused on common challenges early-career dentists face, including imposter syndrome, comparing yourself to others, burnout, and learning to say no. The speakers emphasized building a personal philosophy, setting boundaries, finding mentors, and choosing associateships or practice models that align with your values.

The session ended with advice for staying professional on bad days, prioritizing self-care, and remembering that dentistry is a flexible and rewarding career when approached with intention, community, and lifelong learning.
