This continuing education course introduces the dental care team to key topics related to providing dental care for older adult patients. Physical, mental and social changes associated with increased age can have negative effects on oral and overall health. The course covers care considerations and coordination among individuals, caregivers and interdisciplinary care team members.

  • Identify demographic and socioeconomic factors associated with increased risk of oral disease among older adults.
  • Complete caries risk assessments for older adults.
